You can show a spinning wheel on your stream using OBS Studio's Browser source. It takes about a minute and needs no plugin.
What you need
- OBS Studio (or any streaming software with a browser source)
- A wheel you have built on SpinTheWheel.pro
Step 1: Build your wheel
Open any wheel page, such as the streamer wheel, and enter your options. If you are doing a giveaway, paste your entrants in.
Step 2: Copy the embed address
Press "Embed on your site." The copied snippet contains an address that starts with https://spinthewheel.pro/embed/#w=. Copy only that address. It stores your list, so it will load the same wheel every time.
Step 3: Add a browser source
- In OBS, click + under Sources and choose Browser
- Paste the address in the URL box
- Set width 640 and height 760 (adjust to your layout)
- Click OK
Step 4: Spin it
Right-click the source and choose Interact, then click the wheel or press its Spin button. Chat sees the animation. Enable audio capture for the browser source if you want viewers to hear the tick.
Tips
- Use Remove winner after each spin for multi-winner draws
- Share the result record link in chat after each draw
- Keep a backup copy of your embed address in case your list changes
- Test the scene before going live
Troubleshooting
- The wheel is blank: the address may be missing the part after #w=. Copy the address again from Embed on your site.
- The wheel is too small or too large: change the width and height of the browser source, or right-click it and resize.
- No sound: enable audio capture on the browser source and check the mixer.
- The spin does not start: right-click the source, choose Interact and click the wheel directly.
- The list is out of date: rebuild the address after editing the list, because the list is stored inside it.
Other streaming software
Streamlabs Desktop, Meld Studio, vMix and other tools offer a similar web or browser source. The method is the same: paste the embed address, set a size and interact with the source to spin.
