How to play truth or dare with the wheel
Players take turns. Spin the wheel and do what it says: answer the truth or complete the dare. Because the wheel decides, nobody can say another player chose something unfair. Use the name wheel first if you also need to randomise who goes next.
Prompts are one per line in the entries box. Press Reset to bring back the defaults or clear the box and paste your own list.
Keep it fun and safe
A good game is one everyone enjoys. Agree on ground rules before you start: players can pass, dares must be safe and legal, and nothing should embarrass anyone in a way they would not choose. For mixed ages, edit the list so every prompt suits the youngest player.
Ideas for your own prompts
- Family version: silly dares and favourite-things questions
- Classroom version: truths about hobbies and goals
- Team-building version: work-friendly questions about preferences
- Party version: group dares such as "start a conga line"

Step-by-step: play with the wheel
- Agree on the ground rules and edit the prompts for your group.
- Choose the first player. Use the name wheel if you want it random.
- The player spins this wheel and performs the result.
- Players may pass once or twice, which keeps the game comfortable.
- Continue clockwise or spin the name wheel for each turn.
Write your own prompts
The best prompts fit your group. Keep them short so they fit on the wheel and read well on a phone.
- Family: "Tell us your favourite family memory", "Do your best animal impression".
- Classroom or club: "Share one thing you are proud of", "Teach us a word in another language".
- Team-building: "What is your favourite way to relax?", "Describe your dream job as a child".
- Teens: "Show the last photo you took, if you are comfortable", "Do your best celebrity impression".
Safety, consent and age-appropriateness
Everyone should choose to take part. Make it clear that anyone can skip a prompt without explanation. Avoid dares that involve risk, damage to property, other people's privacy, or anything that would embarrass someone against their wishes. With children, the adult in charge should read every prompt before play.
Variations
- Silent version: prompts that can be done without speaking.
- Team version: groups discuss each truth together.
- Challenge version: replace dares with trivia questions.
- Gratitude version: truths that ask for something to be thankful for.
