About this wheel
Variety makes exercise less boring and works different muscles. A random wheel removes the need to plan, which helps if the hardest part for you is getting started.
This wheel holds twelve bodyweight moves that need no equipment. Winners are removed after each spin so you do a different exercise each time. When the wheel is empty, you have completed a full circuit.
How to use it
- Warm up for three to five minutes.
- Choose a time per exercise, such as 40 seconds of work and 20 seconds of rest.
- Spin and do the move.
- Rest, then spin again.
- Finish with stretching or a short walk.
Ways to customise it
- Make a beginner list with gentler moves like wall push-ups and marching
- Add yoga poses for a flexibility session
- Add *2 to moves you want to focus on
- Make a core-only, legs-only or upper-body wheel
Tips
Listen to your body and stop if anything hurts. Choose moves that suit your fitness and any health conditions. If you have a medical condition or have not exercised in a while, speak to a doctor first.
Keep a record. Note how many rounds you did and aim to add one next week.
