Why a wheel works on stream
A wheel creates a clear moment for chat. Viewers watch the spin, react together and share the result. It is a simple way to run giveaways, choose challenges and keep a stream interactive without extra software.
Add the wheel to OBS in five steps
Build your wheel on this page, then press "Embed on your site" to copy an embed snippet. From it, take the address that starts with spinthewheel.pro/embed/#w=. In OBS:
- Add a new source and choose Browser
- Paste the embed address into the URL box
- Set the width to 640 and the height to 760, or size it to fit your scene
- Click OK and position the source on your scene
- Click the wheel in the browser source (use Interact) to spin
Stream ideas
- Giveaway winner draw from chat entries
- Challenge wheel: handicaps and bonus rules for gameplay
- Chat decides: map, character or next game
- Subscriber or follower goal rewards
Be transparent with your community
Share the entries before spinning and post the result record link in chat afterward. Our fairness explanation is easy to link if viewers ask how it works. See also our full OBS guide.
Wheel setups that work on stream
Different formats suit different streams. These setups are easy to run.
- Viewer giveaway: paste entrants from chat and spin live.
- Challenge wheel: each slice is a rule that changes gameplay.
- Chat decides: slices are choices viewers suggested.
- Reward wheel: channel-point redemptions trigger a spin.
- Subathon wheel: slices are stream activities or penalties.
Make it look good on stream
Use a clean scene: put the wheel in the middle or on one side, and keep the entries panel hidden by only showing the embed view. The embed view has no navigation, so only the wheel is captured. A bigger spin time creates suspense; 6 to 8 seconds is a good range for a show. Turn on the confetti for big moments and off for routine decisions.
Fairness for your community
Describe how the pick works at the start of any giveaway. Show the entries on screen before spinning, spin once, and read the result aloud. Save the result record link and paste it into chat. If you offer different numbers of entries (such as subscriber bonuses), say so in advance and use weights so the slices reflect it.
Platform rules
Twitch, YouTube, Kick and other platforms have their own rules for giveaways and promotions. Check them, and be careful with age limits and regional restrictions. We are not affiliated with any streaming platform.
