How to make a picture wheel
Press "Add pictures from your device" and choose one or several image files. Each picture becomes a slice, named after its file. Rename or reorder the entries in the box if you like. Untick "Show names" if you want the pictures alone.
Pictures are resized in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. Because they stay on your device, a permanent link keeps the names but not the pictures. To share a wheel with pictures, use picture links instead.
Use picture links for shareable wheels
If your images are already online, add the link after a vertical bar on the entry line, for example Cat | https://example.com/cat.jpg. These links are saved inside the permanent link and the embed code, so anyone you share the wheel with sees the same pictures. Make sure you have the right to use the images and that the site hosting them allows other sites to display them.
Ideas for an image wheel
- Early learners: spin an animal, shape, colour or letter picture
- Menus: show the dishes you can cook or order
- Reward charts: pictures of treats or activities for kids who cannot read yet
- Product giveaways: show each prize
- Team games: use team logos or mascots
- Speaking practice: describe or name the picture that comes up
Tips for clear pictures
Use simple, high-contrast images; they are drawn inside a small circle on the slice. Square or centred pictures look best. Keep the wheel to about 12 pictures or fewer so each one is large enough to see, and use fullscreen for a classroom or event. Do not add images you do not have permission to use, and avoid pictures of people unless they have agreed.

Frequently asked questions
Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?
No. Pictures you add from your device are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers.
Why do my pictures disappear from the share link?
Device pictures are too large to store in a link, so only the names are kept. Use picture links (Name | https://...) if you need the pictures to be shareable.
What file types work?
Any image your browser can open, such as JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF (the first frame of a GIF is used).
How many pictures can I add?
You can add up to 60 at once, but a wheel stays readable with about 12 or fewer.
