How to build a number wheel
Enter a minimum and maximum in the boxes above the options, then press "Build number wheel". The wheel fills with every whole number in that range. Ranges are capped at 200 numbers so every slice stays visible and the spin stays smooth.
You can also edit the entries box by hand to remove numbers that are already used, such as in a bingo-style draw. Turn on "Remove winner after each spin" and each number is drawn exactly once.
Ideas for a random number wheel
- Pick a student number from 1 to 30
- Draw raffle ticket numbers
- Replace a dice roll with 1–6, 1–12 or 1–20
- Choose a random page, question or chapter
- Run a bingo-style draw without repeats
Why not a number generator?
A plain generator prints a number and nothing else. A wheel makes the draw visible and shared, which matters when a group is waiting on the result. It also remembers which numbers you have already drawn so you can work through a range without repeats.
Need a bigger range?
For ranges beyond 200 numbers, a wheel stops being readable. Use a smaller range and combine spins, for example spin 0–9 three times to build a number from 000 to 999.
Step-by-step: build and spin a number wheel
- Enter the lowest and highest number in the From and To boxes.
- Press Build number wheel. The entries box fills with every whole number in the range.
- Optionally delete numbers you want to exclude, such as numbers already used.
- Press Spin. The number under the pointer is the result.
- For a draw without repeats, turn on Remove winner after each spin.
Examples and ranges that work well
Different jobs call for different ranges. These are common starting points.
- 1–6: a replacement for a six-sided die in board games
- 1–10: classroom rating games and "pick a number" activities
- 1–20: tabletop role-playing checks
- 1–30: choosing a student by number
- 1–52: pick a week of the year, or a card from a deck
- 1–100: percentage-style rolls and quick lotteries
Fairness and the limits of a wheel
Each number has the same weight unless you change the list, so every number is equally likely. Because the winner comes from a cryptographic random source, the result does not depend on how you press the button or how long the animation runs.
Wheels are for visible, shared draws, not for security. Do not use any browser wheel to generate passwords, encryption keys or other secrets. For lottery-style prizes with real money, follow the rules that apply to you.
Draw numbers for bingo or a raffle
For a bingo-style game, build the range, turn on Remove winner after each spin and call each number as it appears. The Results list shows the numbers already called. For a raffle with numbered tickets, build the range of ticket numbers you issued and spin once per prize; see the raffle page for weighted tickets.

Frequently asked questions
How do I spin a number between 1 and 100?
Enter 1 and 100 in the From and To boxes, press Build number wheel, then spin.
What is the biggest range I can use?
A wheel can hold up to 200 numbers so every slice stays visible.
Can I draw numbers without repeats?
Yes. Turn on Remove winner after each spin and each number leaves the wheel once drawn.
Does it work with negative numbers?
Yes. Set From to a negative value, for example -10, and To to 10.
Can I use a number wheel instead of dice?
Yes. Build 1–6 for a die, 1–20 for a d20, or any range you like. Each spin is independent.
Can I exclude a number?
Yes. Delete that line in the entries box after building the wheel.
