About this wheel
A chore wheel works because nobody picks. When a job lands on you by chance, it feels less like a favour you were forced to do and more like the luck of the draw. That matters in shared homes, with roommates and with children, where "it is always me" is a common complaint.
This wheel starts with ten everyday jobs and has "Remove winner after each spin" switched on, so each chore leaves the wheel once it is assigned. Spin once per chore and give each person the jobs that come up for them, or spin once per person for a chore each.
How to use it
- Edit the list so it includes the jobs that really need doing this week.
- Decide whether you are assigning chores to people (spin for each person in turn) or people to chores.
- Spin and write the result next to the person's name.
- Repeat until the wheel is empty.
- Press Reset next week and run it again.
Ways to customise it
- Add *2 to a quick, easy chore so it comes up more often than a heavy one
- Make a separate wheel for kitchen jobs, bedroom jobs and outdoor jobs
- Add "Skip card" or "Swap with someone" for a little fun
- Add a reward such as "Choose the movie" for kids who finish early
Tips
Match chores to age. Young children can water plants or feed a pet; teenagers can handle bathroom and laundry jobs. Keep the list realistic, so the wheel does not set anyone up to fail.
Make it routine. A weekly "chore spin" at the same time, with the same wheel link bookmarked, becomes a family habit and takes under two minutes.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make sure everyone gets an equal number of chores?
Keep Remove winner on and spin until the wheel is empty, assigning each result in turn so every person receives a similar number of jobs.
Can I make the chores different every week?
Yes. Edit the list, or save a permanent link for each week's version.
